Sule Pagoda, The Downtown Landmark of Devotion

The Sule Pagoda was the pagoda that I could see from the verandar of my office, when I work in Yangon.
Little did my staff know of all the prayers that I recited to improve sales for the day.
There was never a day that I did not not look at the gleaming pagoda for a few times everyday.

Certainly one of the perks of the job!

A Pagoda in the Suburbs of Mandalay

During my travels to Mandalay, I often try to visit a gentle monk who is revered by my brother. The refined self-awareness og the mannners of the monk instills a profound impression onto me.

This pagoda is near the monastery of the said monk.
Notice that the pagoda is protected ogres.
Which is more the element to be found on pagodas in the Magwe Division.
Please correct me if I am wrong!

The Ku Tho Daw Pagoda, Mandalay

One of the most unique Pagodas that you see anywhere in the world.
The result of a human attempt to propagate religion in the manner he felt would do for humanity.
The entire Buddhist Ahbidamma written into stone, and each stone with its own pagoda.
Best to visit at sunrise or at sunset.
Sit awhile and let your imagination roam free.
Enjoy the serenity.

The Maha Wisara

Took this picture in the late morning. About 10:00am.
I desatuarated the picture to see if I could change the impact of it.
To center focus more onto the bell of the pagoda.
The Maha Wisara Pagoda.

The Shwedagon

The Shwedagon Pagoda
The Shwedagon Pagoda is a part of my life.
I live in a mere 15 minutes away, and visit it on every trip to Myanmar, to Yangon .
2500 years old as legend has it.
And a joy to visit for everyone of every faith.

The Shwedagon Pagoda is the pagoda that constitute very first post in this blog. No other pagoda would do!
I will be posting images of various pagodas from Myanmar and around the world. This blog is not intended to to give and exhaustive overview of each pagoda. Just the briefest sentiment of the time, a poor attempt to record a journey of one person's experience.
